Candlesticks are common in ancient or Western worlds. Nowadays, more and more people are pursuing a good quality of life and start using scented candles. The most common place to place aromatherapy candles is the glass candle holders. Then when the scented candle burns out, it will leave a difficult wax on the bottom and side of the glass, use glass candle holder to decorate your home. Today I will introduce you how to remove the candle wax left in the glass.
When you are ready to remove wax, you can use a stove to burn a pot of water. The water does not need to be boiled to the extent that the temperature is sufficient to melt the wax. Alternatively, you can burn some hot water, then place the jar on the bottom of the sink and soak it in hot water for a while.
Use a knife to make small slits on the wax block left on the glass surface.
Pour the boiled hot water into a glass jar or candle holder with wax left. After the wax comes into contact with the heat, it would start to become liquid immediately and then float to the surface.
The mixture of water and wax is cooled for 15 to 20 minutes. During this time, the wax will begin to harden on the surface of the water, then it will be easier to remove.
If there are waxes on the glass surface, you can use a knife to gently pry them off the glass. The wax at this time should be soft and easy to remove.
In order to prevent wax residue, the can also need to be cleaned. First, soak the sponge for hot water in a hot water for a while, then wring it out and screw it to a slightly damp. Then use a sponge to wipe the jar clean and wipe off the messy wax stains on the glass tube. It is also possible to replace the sponge with a wet tissue.
When removing wax, do not use a sponge or paper towel to wipe the inside of the glass jar in large pieces, otherwise, the wax may become a piece. Use a gentle movement to remove residual wax.
Do not do this in the kitchen or bathroom as the wax may block the drain system. Please ensure that all removed wax is thrown in the trash.
