Our mission to deliver a win-win solution between us and our clients has never changed since the first day of Garbo Glassware’s foundation.
Today we will explain an unusual packaging method used for our glassware, pallet pack. It might be very common for other commodity fields but yet our clients who are even engaged in daily glassware like glass tumbler, glass bottle and glass jar etc. for many years are still not very familiar with pallet pack on details. Usually our glass tumblers are packed by bulk pack, brown box and colour box and there’s not much difference on pricing, however our clients would get shocked in terms of the quantity and price when it comes to pallet. For example, our standard 10oz highball glass cup, which has been shipped to the South America market like Peru and Chile, can be loaded by 100,000pcs with regular inner box in a 40HQ container. But we can only load by 70% max of the regular inner box pack no matter it is brown or colour box due to the space wasted in container.
The benefits to use pallet pack would be firstly the convenience to load and unload the container by forklift and secondly the obvious economisation on labour cost to list our glassware in their shops. For supermarket and clients who purchase our glass products as a packing material such as glass bottle for body cream, this would be a very practical solution for direct retail or transit to next step to pack something else.
There’re 3 types of pallets can be seen in the market, wooden, plastic and tough cardboard pallet whilst we have several methods to pack the goods on pallet. Let’s take the most common one used for supermarket for example, especially to Europe and America market where worker labour is quite expensive. Our rock glass cups are put on the pallet layer like bulk pack, and we use many layers to build a standard pallet with height 110cm, width 60cm and length 80cm for no matter what item is packed this way to load 104 pallets in a 40HQ container or 50 pallets in a 20ft container.
Another method is the customised wooden pallet which can be built into any size you like, all we concern is if it can fit into the container without wasting space. Besides we normally wrap waterproof plastic film on the whole bale, especially for those who purchase by LCL orders which need to be transited many times before the goods go on board eventually. Do contact us for any further details if you want your own goods to be loaded in this way
